Strategic Planning

The DMI strategic planning process helps clients determine what their organization wants to be in the future and how it will get there. Our strategic planning service involves three essential steps:

  • A review of the organization’s present status
  • A board and staff retreat to discuss future goals
  • A detailed written action plan that outlines strategies to achieve the goals

The DMI strategic planning process consists of:

  • Reviewing and updating the organization’s mission statement.
  • An inventory of the organization’s – strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities.
  • Discussion and identification of key issues facing the organization.
  • Breakout groups to determine goals based on the key issues.
  • Preparation of strategies to meet goals.
  • Preparation of a comprehensive strategic plan document.
  • Implementation and monitoring of strategic plan.
